I will argue that the Temple Grandins successful career as a designer of humane slaughterhouse system is based on her unique abilities as an autistic. Autism was not a disability for Temple Grandin and in the end she worked through it and found ways to overcome it.

Don't turn this paper into a biographical report on the inspiring story of T.G. Instead, use research on autism to find what is accurate or not in this 'uplifting' Hollywood bio-pic.
T.G.'s story, sadly, is NOT typical of most autistics, many of whom do not lead 'normal' lives, much less become PhDs and prolific researchers.
